Original Fire-Dex Art Earns an A+

Atherton High School student Alyssa Watchmaker was given an art assignment to draw shoes. She took her assignment one step beyond.

Creatively and respectfully, she visited her local fire department, Highview FD in Louisville, Kentucky and asked to photograph fire boots. The crew enthusiastically responded with Fire-Dex turnout gear, helmet and leather fire boots. Together they staged the gear and took pictures. From the photos, she drew this picture of the gear and earned an A+.

Alyssa said she selected fire boots as a way to honor and show support for firefighters. Everyone at Fire-Dex admires this work and wishes Alyssa well in her future endeavors. And, we agree, definitely A+ work!
