Congratulations to Jonathan Mercer of Metro Fire, our February Distributor Sales Rep of the Month!
Jonathan is an aggressive DSR with great success in the North Texas Region, especially as it relates to the Interceptor Package™.
Recently retired from the fire service after 25 years, Jonathan takes pride in the ability to offer the fire industry health and safety-related solutions. Driven by this passion, he has played a huge role in converting customers to Fire-Dex, the Interceptor Package™, and TECGEN71.
Jonathan enjoys being adventurous with his down time; vacationing, riding dirt bikes and spending time with his wife Amy of 24 years and his 2 children Amanda (19) a sophomore in college, and Phillip (14) a freshman in high school.
At Fire-Dex, we value giving back and supporting those who protect their communities each and every day. Take a look back at some of our contributions from November and December 2017.
Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation: The Fire-Dex team participated in and sponsored the annual Tunnel to Towers: 403 Reasons to Run, which honors the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. The event gave back 93% of funds raised to the families of fire, police, ems and wounded warriors.
Aluminum Cans for Burned Children: Our team continues to donate aluminum cans to support the Aluminum Cans for Burned Children (ACBC). ACBC raises money to help burn survivors and their families by collecting and selling empty aluminum cans back to the aluminum industry for recycling.
Firefighter Behavioral Health Alliance: Fire-Dex donated the H41 Interceptor Hood as an auction item to help raise funds for the weekend retreat, Those Left Behind. This weekend event supports family survivors of Firefighter and EMS suicides.
Fire-Dex donated 70 pairs of leather fire boots to AMEDICAusa. AMEDICAusa supports firefighters in Guatemala who cannot afford modern protective gear. They also provide training and coordinate fire equipment donations.
In December, we hosted our Happy New Gear online giveaway where we awarded Fire-Dex gear each day from December 1-7 to show our appreciation of those serving in the fire service. The grand prize winner received the Fire-Dex Interceptor Package, featuring our latest exclusive. You can get more details on the giveaways and winners here.
Fire-Dex associates generously donated 151 pounds of food to Feeding Medina County in December. The mission of that organization is to educate, engage and lead the community in creating an environment where no one goes hungry.

This month Fire-Dex celebrated our top performing distributor partners and sales representatives at a special four-day event in Miami, Florida. This annual event is our way of saying thank you for your continued commitment to the Fire-Dex brand and to those serving in the fire service.
Mesothelioma Awareness Day is September 26th. Since the day is aimed at raising awareness for this aggressive cancer, we thought it would be appropriate to share this important information with one of the most disproportionately affected groups: firefighters.
We are actively seeking a Regional Sales Manager responsible for the growth and profitability of new and existing accounts. Based from their own home office in the Mid-Americas territory, including the following states: North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana.
Each year the Fire-Dex Sales, Marketing and Management Teams head to Indianapolis for FDIC. This annual event draws firefighters, first responders and those serving the fire service from all around the world. At this weeklong event, Fire-Dex staffs a booth on the exhibit floor, hosts meetings with clients and fire departments and awards daily prizes for booth visitors that try-on gear and provide feedback.
As you have seen on the news around the country, West Virginia was hit with major, catastrophic floods earlier this week. Much of the state was declared a state of emergency. Many of the fire departments in the state were also impacted by the flooding and incurred loss as well.
