2012 has been an interesting year, filled with challenges and successes. Fire departments and municipalities have experienced a loss of funding. We realize this makes it even more important for us to perform at levels that exceed expectations. In 2012, Fire-Dex introduced two new high-comfort offerings, FX-R turn out gear and G1 Glove. These offerings have truly complemented our head-to-toe comfort/fit platform of products.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the first responders that put their lives in peril to serve our citizens. We are proud to support this community by engineering the safest, most protective fire fighting gear and by supporting organizations such as the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, First Responders 911, Bluecoats, etc. and also in other ways like the donations to the departments affected by Hurricane Sandy.
With your support, we have achieved an important milestone; 2013 will mark 30 years for Fire-Dex. We have quite a history of protecting first responders and look forward to celebrating this milestone with you!
In reflection, 2012 has been a very good year and I look forward to 2013 being even better. I wish each of you and your families a happy, safe, and healthy New Year.
Nomex IIIA in action, doing its job in the worst case scenario – a flashover.
Lambton Fire Department in the province of Quebec.
RESULTS and message from our dealer:
Our distributor representative, Mike Herring of Canadian Safety Equipment, who takes care of Lambton FD, sent this message to Fire-Dex:
“Good day gentlemen,
Here is a picture of a Firedex coat that one of my client’s fireman was wearing when caught in a flashover last week. The coat, SCBA face piece and helmet sustained quite a bit of damage, but the firefighter walked away without a single burn .
My client is very happy with the performance of the coat, as we all know a flashover can hit 1000 degrees easy enough. Once again Firedex has proven how quality can save lives .
Good job to you and your team.”
