Become a Fire-Dex Content Marketing Specialist

We’re currently seeking a qualified Content Marketing Specialist who will focus on email marketing, technical and creative writing, social and website content, sales presentations, and distributor marketing. Also:

  • Create content strategies, research trending topics, and write content
  • Write content for blog posts, marketing materials, email, press releases, and the website
  • Assist in writing technical specifications for fire industry products
  • Assist with content as needed for Fire-Dex social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and YouTube
  • Assist in SEO strategies
  • Assist in developing product descriptions and sales presentations
  • Conduct market research to generate information and identify relevant topics
  • Maintain an editorial calendar to track content and due dates
  • Manage email marketing efforts, including internal and external communications
  • Manage trigger and journey email campaigns throughout the customer lifecycle
  • Track and report on email campaigns in order to guide improvements
  • Create segmented lists based on behaviors like past email engagement and website interactions
  • Assist in providing content and marketing support to distributors
  • Participate in strategy meetings and assists in special projects
  • Other duties as assigned

What You Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, or related field
  • One to four years of profession content creation
  • Ability to write and edit with speed and accuracy, displaying a strong knowledge of English grammar and the ability to create clear, engaging, and informative text
  • Proficiency to communicate well with all different levels and customers both inside and outside of the organization, including verbal, electronic, and written
  • Experience with email marketing, lead nurturing, or marketing automation preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Experience with content management systems preferred (WordPress or similar)
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop)
  • Blog writing experience a plus
  • Ability to work in teams as well as possess self-accountability
  • Efficient with prioritizing and multi-tasking, including being productive while handling re-directions and interruptions based upon business needs
  • Possess a high attention to detail
  • Must be flexible
  • Ability to remain organized with and keep track of multiple sources of information and data
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications
  • Possess a strong sense of urgency, follow-through and diligence, including meeting deadlines
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
