Due to growth, we are expanding our team and currently seeking a qualified Logistics Specialist who will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing logistic activities, including inbound and outbound deliveries, transportation, freight, and traffic. This position presents an excellent opportunity for an individual to become a subject matter expert, troubleshoot and drive continuous improvement in this area. The position is based at our headquarters in Medina, OH and requires an onsite presence.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support all aspects of freight movements and costing
  • Research, collect and interpret logistics data, evaluate the efficiency of transits, and identify streamlined transportation methods and create process improvements to support them
  • Identify problem areas and budget deviations within the company’s transportation and supply network and prepare recommendations to save the company time and money
  • Identify logistics bottlenecks and devise cost-effective solutions to improve efficiency, such as route updates
  • Oversee transportation networks, channels and relationship building with delivery carriers, service providers and suppliers
  • Prepare and create reporting on such things as operational and financial metrics
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned

Candidates should possess the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in supply chain or logistics, or a related field or experience
  • Previous experience as a transportation analyst or logistics, freight or traffic coordinator or specialist
  • Certified in Logistics, Transportation and Distribution (CLTD) designation is helpful
  • International and customs logistics experience
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Project management skills
  • Advanced report writing skills
  • Proficiency to communicate well with all different levels, internally and externally, including verbal, electronic, written and presentation skills
  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite and very savvy using Excel
  • Influential negotiation skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and action-oriented
  • Possess strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Natural talent for statistics and numbers
  • Self-starter
  • Efficient with prioritizing and multi-tasking, including being productive while handling re-directions and interruptions based upon business needs

  • Ability to work in teams as well as possess self-accountability
  • Possess a strong sense of urgency, follow-through, and diligence, including meeting deadlines and have the ability to remain organized with and keep track of multiple sources of information and data
