We’re currently seeking a detail-oriented, self-driven, and knowledgeable Planner/Scheduler responsible for planning and coordinating manufacturing production schedules in a multi-site operation to maintain customer delivery dates and to optimize operational costs and efficiency.

This is a position based out of our Headquarters in Medina, OH.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Develop daily or weekly production schedules within available capacity to ensure that production deadlines are met
  • Support the materials planning & inventory requirements by prioritizing customer orders and preparing production order releases
  • Resolve issues by applying root cause analysis methodology and assigning countermeasures
  • Interface with customers and sales representatives, value stream and production leads, and other site-functional personnel
  • Analyze orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule the production operations to meet customer order requirements
  • Work with management in coordinating and planning production activities to improve runtime
  • Communicate production status to managers on a regular basis
  • Review and evaluate component shortages in collaboration with the purchasing department
  • Create and release work orders in a timely manner
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute priority and delivery schedules
  • Review and revise work orders
  • Assist in production and inventory control matters
  • Monitor the execution of the production plan and resolve any potential issues in a timely fashion
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Candidates Should Possess the Following:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or prior experience in planning, scheduling or expediting
  • Knowledgeable of machine and plant capacities and lead-times
  • ERP experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications with the ability to learn new software programs and systems, including strong Excel skills
  • Open and effective communicator and collaborator with all levels of the organization, including verbally and written, and having a professional interface with others to achieve results
  • Solid mathematical skills
  • Critical thinking and abstract reasoning abilities
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions and software manuals
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
  • Ability to work positively in teams as well as possess self-accountability
  • Strong sense of urgency, follow-through, and diligence, and have the ability to remain organized with and keep track of multiple sources of information and data
