We’re currently seeking a qualified Production Planner to plan and coordinate manufacturing production schedules in a multi-site operation to maintain customer delivery dates and to optimize operational costs and efficiency. This is an on-site position located at 780 South Progress Dr, Medina, OH 44256.

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop daily or weekly production schedules within available capacity to ensure that production deadlines are met
  • Support the materials planning & inventory requirements by prioritizing customer orders and preparing production order releases
  • Resolve issues by applying root cause analysis methodology and assigning countermeasures
  • Interfaces with customers and sales representatives, value stream and production leads, and other site-functional personnel and assists in ensuring all manufacturing KPIs are on target
  • Analyze orders to prioritize, plan, and schedule the production operations to meet customer order requirements
  • Work with management in coordinating and planning production activities to improve runtime
  • Communicate production status to managers on a regular basis
  • Review and evaluate component shortages in collaboration with the purchasing department
  • Create and release work orders in a timely manner
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute priority and delivery schedules
  • Review and revise work orders
  • Assist in production and inventory control matters
  • Review Master Schedule and recommend changes as necessary
  • Monitor the execution of the production plan and resolve any potential issues in a timely fashion

Candidates should possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) and/or (APICS) preferred Team-oriented with a drive for results
  • Understanding of shop floor control and is customer service oriented
  • Knowledgeable of machine and plant capacities, routings, bills of material, lead-times, and product structure
  • Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Solid mathematical skills
  • Critical thinking and abstract reasoning abilities
  • Possess ERP experience
  • Proficient with computer applications to include Microsoft Office, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as procedure manuals, work instructions and software manuals
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
