We’re currently seeking a Quality and Safety Coordinator to oversee and streamline Gear Wash operations processes and procedures, manage verification timelines for 10 sites and be responsible for safety and continuous improvement. This is a hybrid remote position based out of your home office or it can be based out of one of our locations. Extensive domestic travel is required, including visits to our Headquarters in Medina, OH and all Gear Wash locations.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Travel to Gear Wash facilities to help improve, implement, and manage operational? processes and procedures.
  • Preparation of samples for annual and quarterly reverification and audits
  • Maintain relationships and communicate with 3rd party labs
  • Support improvement of overall quality procedures
  • Participate in planning, organizing, implementing and overseeing the safety program
  • Conduct workplace safety checks and identify workplace safety hazards and take necessary steps for corrective action
  • Monitor site safety reports
  • Enforce consistency of company policies and procedures
  • Troubleshoot and resolve semi-complex problems and make quality decisions in a timely manner
  • Develop strong working knowledge of the Gear Wash systems
  • Continually identify opportunities for improvement
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Hours of Work, Monday through Friday:

  • Our Gear Wash sites operate during 1st shift hours
  • Should be flexible to adjust for various time zones
  • Travel as needed to sites, approximately 50% of the year


  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related field is preferred
  • Technical experience – quality control, operating lab equipment, preparing samples for third-party testing, etc.
  • Previous experience with operations related safety responsibilities
  • Previous successful manufacturing or production experience
  • Bilingual in speaking, writing, and translating both English and Spanish is helpful
  • Ability to travel around 50% of the time is required
  • Valid drivers’ license with a good driving record
  • Proficiency to communicate well with all different levels, both inside and outside of the organization, including verbal, electronic, written, and possess strong presentation skills
  • Highly skilled in Microsoft applications, especially Word, Excel and Outlook and ability to learn new software programs and systems
  • Professional interface with others, getting results through collaboration while also being a self-starter
  • Possess a strong sense of urgency, follow-through, and diligence, including meeting deadlines and remaining organized and keeping track of multiple sources of information and data
  • Possess a solutions-focused mind-set
  • Efficient with multi-tasking and managing multiple priorities, including being productive while handling re-directions and interruptions, based upon business needs
  • Must be flexible and accommodating to handle a variety of expectations
  • Possess a high attention to detail
  • Possess strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds due to the nature of handling garments
